Sabrina Heitmann
Research Agronomist
Sabrina joined Yakima Chief Ranches in April 2024 as a Research Agronomist. She earned her BS in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Colorado College and later completed her MS studying the plant microbiome and its application in sustainable agriculture. She has worked on a variety of farms, from small organic produce to large-scale vineyard operations, which has cultivated an appreciation for both the research and applied aspects of agriculture.
At YCR, Sabrina designs and manages the Footprints® research trials. These computational, field, and greenhouse projects are aimed to support growers and deepen our understanding of the agronomics of YCR and HBC hop varieties.
Outside of work, Sabrina splits her time between the mountains and the coast, spending most weekends backcountry skiing, backpacking, or surfing. She also serves as a member of the Central Washington Mountain Rescue team.
