Dereck started working with YCR in 2017 as a Field Technician and later as a Lab Technician in 2020. Derek is the grandson of the Hop Breeder Charles "Chuck" E. Zimmermann, which motivates him in many aspects. You may catch Derek during his free time wine or beer tasting with friends and co-workers or gardening and expanding his knowledge on hops and mycology.
