Joe Catron is YCR’s Director of Grower Services. Over the past decade, Joe’s efforts have focused on agronomic best practices, breeding, brand development, beer market analysis and connecting hop growers with global brewing customers. Holding a Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Plant Health Management from Washington State University, Joe thrives at building company culture, fostering meaningful relationships and educating colleagues and customers. He truly believes he has the best job in the world. Joe is married to his wife, Katie, and they have three children; Copper, Opal and Jack. In his free time, Joe enjoys gardening, viticulture, making music, coaching his children’s sports teams, disc golfing, brewing beer, learning German and traveling.
