Josh is the production lab manager here at Yakima Chief Ranches. His role is to make sure the lab is running smoothly and hitting its targets in terms of propagation. This includes using quality control measures and keeping the entire process well documented so the plants we provide our growers are of the highest quality. In May 2022, he graduated from Washington State University, majoring in Agricultural Biotechnology and minoring in Horticulture. Since the summer of 2020, prior to his graduation, he had worked seasonally as a lab technician at YCR. During that time, he did various jobs and was the lead on several research projects. He had also worked on his family’s hop farm for many years and was a part-time shop assistant for Vinetech Equipment. Outside of work, he likes to spend his time outdoors with Goose, his chocolate lab, and likes hunting, fishing, hiking, and snowboarding when he can.
